Facebook app crashes on my iPad after updating to iOS 18.4

Same thing happening to me since updating to IOS 18.4. Really annoying, but a bit of a relief to know it’s happening to others and not just a fault my end. I have just installed the latest facebook update and was hoping it would be fixed, but still doing it. Argh 😬

Agreed. I believe it is a responsibility of the third-party in this case Facebook to make sure that their apps are compliant with any OS update be it Apple or Windows or even any Internet browsing software

I’ve already reported this to Apple. I need to find information how to report it to Facebook as well.

The same thing happened to my iPad after uploading iOS 18.4.1 I cannot open Facebook on my iPad. I asked 18.4.1 was uploaded to my iPhone 15 and my Facebook works fine on my iPhone 15. What is the fix for this?

FB keeps shutting down like it just closes out on my 18.4 IOS on my IPad, even when I get notifications of someone’s post and go to it, it just shuts down and the … three dot dots at the top of any post won’t do anything can’t save post on articles or things I want to save. Almost getting useless to use or see anything. I’ve cleared the cache on FB app and even uninstalled and reinstalled.

Same thing is happening to me. I’ve reinstalled FB app and it does not solve the issue.

Deleting, reinstalling, restarting, clearing Facebook history are all just temporary fixes. It keeps happening.

I’m having the same problem on my iPhone 15 Pro Max on the latest iOS update. I see there is still no resolution. Great.

same thing on IPad Pro constantly crashing, Iphone 16 pro max works fine.

Same with me. iPad Pro 6th Generation shuts down on FB, but my iPhone 16pro max doesn’t.

I’ve tried all the tricks and none seem to work. I’m at a loss.

Apple can't fix Meta's bad programming. And, sadly, Meta seems uninterested or unable to fix it.

Still crashing for me as of 5/1/25…only on iPad.
