iPhone 16 Pro not receiving group text messages

I am having the same issue! so frustrating. I have been in contact with Verizon. Reset all the things. If i do get messages sometimes they come in overnight and like 30+ all jumbled if i even receive them at all.

I upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro about a month ago and started noticing that SOME of my group are not getting my group messages and I am NOT getting 99% of my group text messages. I have spent 12+ hours on the phone with Verizon support and Apple support and no one can resolve my issues. I have reset the network, hard reset my phone, turned off RCS,, Verizon sent me a new phone today and the problem still persists.

APPLE SEEMS TO BE OBLIVIOUS OF THE PROBLEM THAT IS OBVIOUSLY THEIRS!

Now a month later after apple and att and Verizon has looked into the phone and it magically works. Neither of the three knows how or what they did but it works now. Hopefully this magical fix will happen to everyone.

I too cannot get group messages on my iPhone 16Pro. Seems like it happen after the last update. Please APPLE fix this issues. It is important for me to get these messages. I have an appointment with Verizon tomorrow, but from the responses they may not be able to fix. Apple this is on you.

It’s June 2025 and I upgraded to an iPhone 16 last month when we switched from Verizon to AT&T and I’m not getting pics and responses in established group texts from iPhone contacts. They do include one Android user but it wasn’t a problem before this upgrade. I thought it was a network issue but now AT&T are saying it’s an Apple issue. Apple is saying AT&T and I’m in the middle with a messed up phone and am very frustrated!! I’ve spent hours on this with no fix. I want to go back to my old phone and my old network. Apple you need to fix this now!

Having the same issue, in a work group chat with one android in it. I’m not getting messages from ONE person (not the android). I get texts from her in other groupchats and our own messages but I’m missing crazy important updates about work because of this and I can’t find an answer

Same thing has happened to me! I’ve spent hours on the phone with Verizon and at the store! They gave me a new phone yesterday and it didn’t change a thing! No rhyme or reason for not receiving group texts properly!

Talked with an Apple rep today! Said it was a carrier issue because as android user was part of my group chat, that I’m not receiving!!! I have other chats with android users and I have no issues with those chats!! I’m at my Witt’s end! What are we suppose to do! This is the most annoying think I’ve been through. They say it’s not the 16 pro max but it’s funny it just started this when i switched to the new phone!!

I’ve tried everything, nothing works. I cannot believe that Apple doesn’t address this problem when I talk to customer service it sounds like they are not even aware of it, even though I’ve been on the phone for hours with them.

This is ridiculous, Apple!!! I have followed all the instructions for solving this problem and nothing is working. I am also having problems with my phone not notifying me of messages. Find a solution that works for ALL iPhone 16 Pros. We should not have to be dealing with this on these brand new phones!!!!

I had this issue a few months after I got my new phone. We did everything to try to fix it, nothing worked. Then a few weeks later, it just began to work again all on its own. I haven’t had a problem since then. Weird.

I have had this problem since September 5, 2025. No issue before then! I can’t receive or send anything to our family group messages 😢 where previously there was no problem! I have updated to the newest iOS, I have turned every option on/off reset, tried with WiFi and without. Tried rcs/mms/iMessage on and off! I’m so frustrated. I guess I’ll have to try to get them ALL ( all twenty people!) to use a different app.

Got an iphone 16e a few months ago. Now not receiving group texts sent by Android user. Others in the group using both Androids and iphones get the messages and I am able to receive individual texts from all of the other members of the group. I have just tried turning off and on MMS, RCS and phone. It has only been about an hour but I have not received any of the missing group texts.

One more update. Though my 16e phone now has successfully received a group text from an Android user, I never did receive the missing group texts from this past week so I am not totally confident problem is resolved.

Has anyone found a resolution to this?
