iPhone 16 Pro not receiving group text messages

New 16e 3 weeks ago not receiving group text according to spectrum not there issue it is software issue. I’m really dissatisfied with this issue. Provider says it is a bug and Apple software update will have to be push thru that will fix. Provider updated to all software updates available. Old phone iPhone 11 did not have this issue.

Go to setting and disable “RCS messaging” then re-enable and wait for activation. Immediately fixed my issue.

I am having the exact same issue. I have spent countless hours on the phone with courier support and they sent me to apple then apple sent me back to the courier. I only have issues with group chats if it has at least 1 android user. I receive the texts from the android users but not the apple users. However, whenever I am in another group chat with just IPhone users it works fine. I have tried everything they have told me so far and nothing has helped. Going on 2 weeks of back and forth with them. Also this happened as soon as i upgraded my phone. I received text messages from groups fine that morning, switched, and all of the sudden I am having issues.

Yes go to your provider and have them reset the sim it will fix it

Update: Problem still persists. However, after being on the phone with Apple for several hours tonight, we are going to the T-Mobile store tomorrow to get a new SIM card. Apple seems to think this will help but we will see.

I'm having this issue. Just upgraded to an iPhone 16 pro with my boyfriend. In group messages with an Android user, I'm not receiving 2 out of 4 of the group's responses. I cannot receive responses from the Android user or another iPhone user, even though I can message them both individually. I've been on the phone with Apple, and in person at length with AT&T, and neither have figured it out. I believe it may be an Apple problem. We've gone through all of the problem shooting, including getting a new phone. My boyfriend, who got the same phone, is not having this issue. They are receiving my messages, but I am only seeing responses from my boyfriend and one other person.

I am so frustrated. I have spent hours with Verizon and Apple tech support trying to resolve this issue. Since I got an iphone 16 pro, I have not been able to text any group chat that has a non-iphone user like an android. No one seems to know what the cause is or how to fix it. There are so many connections that I feel lost to because of this. I can text them individually. Also, today I noticed that some of my text messages from known iphone users are also not coming in on my iphone 16 pro, but are coming in on my laptop, but in jumbled order. My friend who got an iphone 16 pro in January has been experiencing the same issue, and despite going to the genius bar and calling tech support for Verizon and Apple hers is still not fixed. Since it is happening with multiple carriers, it seems to be an apple problem. APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS!!

I’m having same similar issues ,but I search Google and get Tenorshare ReiBoot teams help they help me get out of the problems .Anyhow ,I recommend you to update your iOS or seek for their help.If both ways not works ,report it to Apple .

Hey Jprints3D! I have tried this multiple times with lots of different phones over the past few months, and it has never worked for me! I have an iPhone 16 pro. The only temporary fix was having Verizon resynchronize my MMS, but it stopped working again after the last software update!

Scoot over on the bench....I too am having issues. For me it is a group text with 2 iPhones and 1 Android. When I group text with iPhone users it's fine.

I've talked to Verizon many times today, 3/3. This is after I was on the phone 3/2 with Verizon too. I've done the resets you've all mentioned. Nothing is working. Oh and within these texts it affects not only my iPhone, but laptop and iPad.

Frustrating to say the least. Let alone to test it the people I text are working!

I am having the same issue since getting my iPhone 16 pro a month ago. I have done all the resets and updates. It definitely seems connected to groups that contain at least one android phone, however I still receive individual text messages from androids. So frustrating.

Same thing with my wife’s new 16 pro. It’s a group chat with android and iPhone users. She doesn’t get anyone’s texts but mine, I’m listed as an “emergency contact” so wondering if that has something to do with why she’s getting mine.

Hey all, I'm in the same situation. As a quick fix, try

1. Turning off RCS Messaging (Settings>Apps>Messages>RCS Messaging)
2. Turning off your phone
3. Turn RCS messaging back on

This worked for me to start getting group messages again. Not a long term solution, but it might help for now
