Mail App edit button has been disappeared from my iPad after last update

I had the same problem starting this morning. Called Apple Idiots and they know zero, even the supervisor, wanted me to change all my settings. This is not a setting problem, this is an Apple problem. SO a few minutes ago I figured out the FIX. Just open a new email window. EDIT button is back. To open a new window go to the bottom under INBOX and hit the double square button which is lower right. You will get a new email window and everything will be good again. I hate Apple phone people but the Apple forum is where to find the answers to Apple FUps

This has been answered. The correct answer was: press on the email with two fingers and it will come back! So simple and it works beautifully!

Told Siri to restart the ipad and hey presto it came back

Rebooted my ipad and edit is back

I restarted my IPad as directed by others & it worked. May be temporary and shouldn’t have to do this but, thank you!

If you swipe up to exit email and then open it again it works for me, but surely Apple is going to fix this??

But it is an annoying bug.

Mine was the same but there is another update to 18.3 and it’s all back again.

Found that if you close your email, then go into bing or google and search for anything, then reopen email the edit button will appear again. Weird. I do this every time I lose it and it reappears

My IPad now works, edit button is back. I didn’t do anything so try turning your device off and restart, cross your fingers!

Apple needs diagnostic data for this case. Can you all please create a support ticket via chat, refer to this thread here and ask for a solution. Then they will generate diagnostic data from your device. Takes 5 minutes.
