Since last update (December 24) the edit button has disappeared from my mail app. There is no select all button any more. Please help?

I had the same problem starting this morning. Called Apple Idiots and they know zero, even the supervisor, wanted me to change all my settings. This is not a setting problem, this is an Apple problem. SO a few minutes ago I figured out the FIX. Just open a new email window. EDIT button is back. To open a new window go to the bottom under INBOX and hit the double square button which is lower right. You will get a new email window and everything will be good again. I hate Apple phone people but the Apple forum is where to find the answers to Apple FUps

I’m hating these updates. I lost edit button on email too!
What good is this site when everyone agrees that the edit button is gone but there is no fix to this. Where is Apple support when u need answers?

Using 2 fingers did work for me. Or standing on my head while drinking water! JUST FIX IT!,

The two-finger trick worked for me to get the edit button back on my iPad but that work around is absurd. Apple needs to fix this permanently.
