Would like to remove (or make them smaller) the icons from the iOS 18.2 mail list (allows full viewing of email subject on screen).

Settings -> Apps -> Mail - Turn off “Show Contact Photos”

I had them on an iPhone 12. It came with the last update.
If you employ software engineers they can only justify their existence by keeping idea flowing, wanted or not.
