Well I found it ... Apple removed it from the side bar tool menu to make it extra-inconvenient and created a new tab on the top next to the CROP tab called CLEAN UP. WHY oh WHY doesn't Apple focus on things that make workflow EASIER rather than HARDER ??????? THis is another useless change that makes workflow in Apple Photos harder and more inconvenient.

Is the Luminar Neo plug-in still working in Photos 15.1 (or 15.2)?

The Luminar Photos Extension stopped working in macOS 15.1. I had to fall back on calling Luminar Neo from the menu "Image > Edit with ...", but after updating to macOS 15.2 it is working again for me.

But it has not been a big problem to call the full app from the "Image > Edit with ..." menu. This way I could also use the tools that are only available, when the Luminar Catalogue is open, like adding borders and extending the canvas, panorama stitching, focus stacking, etc.

Another example, where Clean-Up needs additional retouching: This picture is showing three problems:

  • After removing the people, their shadows are left and need manual removing.
  • Some body parts (a leg of a person in the foreground) are not recognized and cloned to fill in the background)
  • The artificial intelligence does not under stand that furniture needs legs to stand on and inserting chairs and tables without legs or just parts of a leg, fading out.

I own an older version of Affinity, and when I tried to open it after moving to Sequoia, latest version, I get a message that Affinity is terminally damaged and should be removed. So Apple broke my property. I called support and they told me I should try to remove and re-add the OS and maybe Affinity would work. I don't have a proper back-up drive so I will have to go out and buy one before I can try that. But if it doesn't work, I wonder if Apple will

pay me the $65 it cost me for the original Affinity. I can hear you laughing!

Shawheel - your most recent post about Apple arrived in my inbox a couple minutes ago. When I clicked on the 'helpful' button, it took me to this:

AnnaEscondido: From the top, scroll down past the image. Below that, on my screen is one post by Cartoon guy. Below it a faint line. Just under that line on the right in faint grey is 'Sort by'. It defaults to 'Rank' on my screen. Click on it and you will get a dropdown menu of options. Click on Newest or oldest. Here is a screenshot, scroll to the bottom, I've highlighted the text.

Shawheel... I'm curious if any of us who sent in the online form ever heard back? If someone did hear back online, maybe I missed it.. :/

I didn't think about taking screenshots.. but I did have one response I made that they heavily moderated and I still can't figure out why. I received a slap on the wrist message saying they were changing it. No reason given. :(

I hope they don't lock this thread... It's still really active even after two months! xoxo

I used the retouch tool not just to remove blemishes or dirt marks. In some of my work, my style as an artist was dependent on it! I am devastated that Sequoia eliminated it. I want tools I can control with my eye and hand and I used this one for about 10 different purposes because I am creative enough to invent. Nothing in I Photo does what I need to create my style of work now -- and I am close to risking downgrading my OS to Monterey just to get the retouch tool back. That is how iportant it is to me. That elimination was -- IS -- a major blow.
