I updated my OS on 10/31/24 to the lates update (Sequoia 15.1) and now the photos app on my Mac no longer contains the retouch tool. WTH!! Does anyone else have this issue? Apple, what gives??

Well I found it ... Apple removed it from the side bar tool menu to make it extra-inconvenient and created a new tab on the top next to the CROP tab called CLEAN UP. WHY oh WHY doesn't Apple focus on things that make workflow EASIER rather than HARDER ??????? THis is another useless change that makes workflow in Apple Photos harder and more inconvenient.
Apple, PLEASE bring back the retouch tool! I used it all the time to delete dust specks and stray marks on backgrounds items that I was photographing to sell!
horrible. when i use clean up it pixelates everything it touches. Why, Apple?
This is what happens when I.T. people take over and don't communicate with artists and users. Add the big whiz-bang features and get rid of the useful features that people actually need and use.
You had to have Internet for it to be INTALLED, after it is installed, it will work offline.
Apple, please bring back the Retouch tool !!!!
I do not agree. With Clean'up you will get rid of part of the picture, but its really difficult, impossible to blur a face.
Oh and BTW, there wasn't any of the dreaded pixelating of people and other objects when I used Erase.
Well, I must say I am completely surprised Apple brought back the Retouch tool. That is awesome they listened to us!

Did they leave the new tool as well, I've come to appreciate the new tool but want the Retouch as well, both have different uses. Before I upgrade, just curious?

YES! SnapSeed, which is FREE, (iOS App) has a tool called Heal, (among MANY amazing tools) that works like the old Retouch and is amazing, so now I fix the photo on my phone, where all my Photos are synced.
