Is anyone else experiencing problems with their notes following the iOS 18 update? Until yesterday my notes app was working fine and I was able to use it like I’ve always done. Since yesterday on September 17, 2024, the app’s been completely unusable and you can’t click on your notes without the app freezing or crashing.

This update is horrendus for notes, it was working fine before the update to ios18. I’m a huge user of notes and have thousands on icloud. It’s unsuable now, notes freezes, glitches, lags and I can’t access important documents. This is infuriating. I’ve unsynced and trying to re-sync my notes to see if that does anything, and the process is taking forever to re-sync.
Such a nasty update for notes.
The solution I found was to change the file names of the large files in iCloud
The solution is to change the note name or file name I iCloud. Worked perfectly for my iPhone 15 iOS 18
I changed the note name of my largest file in iCloud this solution solved the issue on my iPhone 15 using ios18
no more issues
How do you do that? Would that work for locked much larger notes with photos?

Figured out how to do it. I can access and edit notes on iCloud website but it doesn’t allow me to edit them from the app.
Tried renaming them in iCloud Notes. Didn’t do anything. Still freezes up when I try to open them. I tried to Copy and Paste the notes on iCloud but apparently we can’t copy and paste on there

My notes keep getting cut off. Anything important is completely cut off and on the other side of the screen from the rest of the note. I can’t even copy it to move it back over.
Just updated AGAIN and the notes app still isn’t working right.
I’m convinced this is an iCloud issue. They must of changed something in iCloud as well. I notice my photos app is slow to sync too.
I’ve been having the same issue I have an iphone 14 and it’s a real issue since I have information I need access too in there.
What finally fixed it for me is- I backed up to the cloud and then I erased my phone (all but the SIM). Then I restored everything from the cloud. And now Notes is working fine again.
