Frrustration with Vision Pro ordering process
I am writing to address a series of concerns that have arisen from my recent online purchase of an Apple Vision Pro on January 19, 2024. My experience with this transaction has been confusing and has led to several issues that I am hoping can be promptly resolved.
Issue: In-Store Pickup and Tax Implications
Initially, my intention was to have the product delivered to my home in Virginia. However, during the ordering process, I received a prompt on my Apple phone, which led to the order being changed to an in-store pickup at a location in Tennessee. This change was confusing and not in line with my original preference, primarily due to the significant 1.5-hour drive required to reach the store. Additionally, I was not aware at the time that this change would result in different tax implications.
Issue: Delay in Delivery After Address Correction
After realizing the inconvenience and the tax discrepancy caused by the in-store pickup, I contacted Apple Support to revert the order to home delivery or become and out of state purchase. The tax issue was particularly confusing for the sales team. While the sales tax issue was resolved by this change, it unfortunately led to a new problem: a delay in the delivery of my product. The revised delivery date of February 12, 2024, significantly deviates from the initially confirmed date of February 2, 2024, causing further inconvenience.
Resolution Sought
Given these circumstances, I am seeking:
An explanation and, if possible, a correction of the initial prompt that led to the change to in-store pickup, which was not my intended choice.
A re-evaluation of the delivery schedule with an aim to expedite the shipping process, ensuring that the delivery date is as close as possible to the originally confirmed date of February 2, 2024.
Clear communication regarding the reasons for the delay and the steps being taken to expedite the delivery.
Assurance that my needs as a customer are being prioritized, with a focus on delivering a satisfactory and hassle-free experience.
As a customer, I had anticipated a straightforward and efficient purchasing process, especially when investing in a high-value product like the Apple Vision Pro. The current situation has been far from satisfactory. I trust that Apple will address these concerns promptly and effectively.
