Pairing Switch Pro Controller to Mac (Lic Pro Controller)

The switch pro controller bluetooth pairing suddenly broke after MacOS Monterey.

While the controller technically connects,

Some game inputs are detected, some are not.

To be clear, this is NOT an issue with the games, NOR is it an issue caused by Nintendo. This Mac update effectively broke its support of switch controllers.

I have a PowerA Nano Enhanced Wireless Controller and it will pair with my M1 MBP on Sonoma. Steam recognizes it correctly, but a lot of games don't. One game that works perfectly is Into the Breach. So not sure if this is entirely Apple's fault or if game developers are also to blame.
