Nintendo Switch Pro Controller stopped pairing with Mac?

I have a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller that has been working absolutely great and used it for a bunch of apple arcade and other games. I bought specifically for that as Since one of the recent updates (not sure which one exactly) I've not been able to pair the device, it shows up in the bluetooth devices list but won't manage to connect. Tried resetting/restarting/reconnecting everything, nothing helps.
