Unknown app using my data

I also found this on my iPhone? How to delete it ? As not in my apps either?

Astronomy is a wallpaper. If you set it as your wallpaper it will use data to show your position on planet earth like find my does.

I have that same astronomy app and it’s driving me crazy coz I can’t find it to open it but it’s showing it’s there😡

”Astronomy” and “Weather” were introduced with iOS 16.

Also when the iOS 15 beta software came out

Why is it driving you crazy? What didn't you understand about the explanation of what it is that has already been given?

I have an IPhone XR, it’s almost 3 yrs. old, and I just noticed the same under cellular under my settings. I had a friend send me a link to an astronomy app, but never clicked on it. My data is consistently burning up on my plan, and I’ve noticed a lot of other strange things happening in the past 7-8 mos. I feel like someone is hacking my ****, but not so sure why, seeing as how I’m so broke I can’t pay attention. Tried looking under my App Library. Nothing. So I’m scratching my head as to why I pay for Apple because it’s just better security and an all around better phone option for me personally, only to feel left open, and vulnerable. Is there anything we can do?

The problem I have with this is that i picked up my iPhone and immediately after faceid unlocked it, it opened automatically to the astronomy settings window giving me the option to turn it on like it was already opened in background on its own. I thought this was weird so I tried to close out the window and instead of closing the window it glitches and automatically forced itself on my iPhone. I may be confused about a previous comment in this thread so I’d like to get clarification. Am I to understand that’s Astrology is an Apple Watch face option? If so it may or may not be helpful to add that I do not have an Apple Watch.

Thanks for your kind reply! :) I suppose I still don't understand as I do not use a Dynamic wallpaper on my phone. So in this case, then why would the '' wallpaper'' still be collecting data if it's not in usage?

I was in here earlier reading, and I love you’re still talking about it or not but that astronomy app under cellular I have it to. Anybody know what that is why it’s there I can’t find it anywhere else. Thanks.

Ha! We are all so paranoid, me included. Nice, so it’s a wallpaper. Ha! Who’d a thunk! I believe you but I’m going to look into it. What did it show up in the latest update? Probably answered in another post, no I didn’t go back and read them all I just started typing. Sorry, thx all!

Astronomy is an app that recently appeared in the Cellular Data list. That is the only place it appears. Is not on home screen or anywhere else. No way to open it or delete it or discover anything else about it.
