Apple watch has stopped displaying all notifications following the most recent s/w update. I have checked and doubled checked settings and restarted both devices. All other functions seem to be working normally.

UPDATE: After adjusting the "ALERT VOLUME" in the Sounds & Haptics menu, (turning it down and back up) notifications are now working...but ONLY when the iPhone is locked. When the phone is unlocked, the watch is not displaying notifications.

Too bad there is not an option to receive notices on both devices simultaneously.
