Detecting irregular heartbeat
I have been diagnosed with a fib and wanted to use the watch to see if it was happening at night. Does anyone know why they state it’s not for people who have already been diagnosed?

Because it's main purpose is to detect A-fib and you already know that you have it.
Taking an ECG with the ECG app on Apple Watch Series 4, Series 5, or Series 6

Hello Rk7759. I too have A-fib my cardiologist would have me everytime my watch went off for afib I send him the reading directly through where it says send to dr And he would message me and send instructions. So i say keep wearing your watch. Take care.
Yes, Thank you fieryjack for responding. I understand all of the above;however, I have episodes very infrequently and only at night. It usually wakes me up but I had a heart monitor pick up one that only lasted a minute so I wanted to see how often it was happening unknowingly while asleep. Ty again
Thank you!! So set it up as if I had not been diagnosed!?
