iPhone 12 Pro Max pictures/video don’t show in album unless I restart my phone. If I delete photos they also don’t move to recently deleted until phone is restarted.

Every time I take a picture or video it doesn’t show up in my album. I restart the phone and at first white squares show up where the new picture/video should be and then after s few moments they are replaced by the actual picture/video. Things return to normal for a few hours, with photos/videos saving as they should. But then it happens again. I’ve also noticed if I delete a photo/video a similar thing happens where it doesn’t move to the recently deleted folder until I restart my phone. This has been happening for nearly two weeks now and is a major annoyance.

My phone is up to date on software, not nearing max storage, and I haven’t downloaded any new apps recently either. I have tried both a networks and settings reset to no avail, and the issue persists no matter if I’m on wifi or data. I really don’t want to go through the hassle of a factory reset if I don’t have to.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a fix?
