Apple Fitness+ disconnecting from device

For the second day in a row this has happened. Both days it happened on the 2nd workout selected. First workout was fine, connected to the watch, status updated all in real time. During the 2nd workout immediately after, it started fine and was updating the stats but about halfway through the workout the stats onscreen on the Apple TV stopped updating even though the workout was still going, both on the watch (with accurate stats) and the Apple TV with progressing workout, but not the up to date stats from the Apple Watch. A few minutes later an error message popped up saying the connection to the device was lost and the workout stopped. You can't pick up or continue a workout where you left off. Has anyone else had this problem?

I also have seen that it could be an AirPods issue. I had found a way around the disconnect problem ending the workout by doing the following:

1)When the stats stop updating on the Apple TV, pause the workout on the TV and then pause the workout on the watch

2)Go to settings on the watch and turn Bluetooth off. Wait a few seconds and then turn bluetooth on.

3)Go to the workout on the watch and resume.

4)Resume the workout on the TV.

After a few seconds all of the stats from the watch and TV will be back in sync and it doesn't disconnect

However, on a longer workout I had this happen 3 times so it was annoying to constantly do this, especially at high intensity. So, I disconnected my AirPods from the Apple TV they were connected to and just put them back in the case. No more problems then. Don't know if this is a red herring, but it definitely does seem to be an AirPods/Dual Bluetooth connection conflict.

Same problem here. Since I kept having Paring Cancellation problem with Apple TV HD, I had to use airplay on iPad Pro 2020 or iPhone 12 Pro Max in order to have Apple Fitness on bigger screen. All devices are with latest OS (Apple Watch 5), either with iPad or iPhone, I kept having "Device Connection Lost" after about 10-20 min in the total 30-min workout (rowing, strength, running and etc). AirPods is NOT connected. Very annoying. Any fix, apple! please be quick! (sorry for the yelling)

Same issue - had both AirPods and watch connected to Apple TV and halfway through I got device connection lost error message and can’t find a way to get back to where I was. So much for a ‘chill’ yoga workout. Pretty sure that frustration is the opposite of the intended effect. Hope it’s something that can be done at some point.

Don't use AirPods to work out with but still keeps disconnecting from the Apple TV 4K. such as shame as the fitness + concept is so good and motivational. The issue is clearly something that apple need to sort quickly as you can't start a workout and 10 mins in abort and not be able to restart from where you left off or even fast forward to the part of the workout where it ended.

Yoga with Dustin, 45 min, Chill Vibes

Connection lost 22 minutes into workout. Okay, this sucks, but I’ll just start it back up. Nope. Doesn’t keep my location to resume. Also, I CANNOT FAST FORWARD TO WHERE I WAS. Like... WHAT?!

This is, I must say, very ignorant design and terribly frustrating. Quite the ironic end to my chill yoga workout.
