fimed 4k but can't export it to 4k

Your project may have previously been set to 720p resolution, in which case your 4K video clip would share out to 720p. Try creating a brand new project in which no clips have ever been added. Then add your 4K clip as the first clip added to the project. That will set the project at 4K and it will share out as 4K.

If the above doesn't cure it, try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Now see if you can share out your clip at 4K.

Also, be aware that iMovie supports 4K 30fps but not 4K 60fps.

I have to same problem but none of these ways will help. For me it gives only 1080p even the video is 4k 24fps. I also uninstalled and reinstalled iMovie but even that don't help. What I can do?
