Hint.App Refuses to Cancel Subscription and Keeps Taking Double Payments

I tried this app, with all the “easy cancellation” false advertising. I have tried to cancel from the 2nd months, 6mths later I’m still cancelling via their “bot” it won’t work. I’ve emailed and tried many ways. They don’t respond and there are listed in any subscriptions. It’s impossible.


plus I’m being double charged. All I wanted was my palm read. I didn’t even get that…so disappointed and what an expensive process, I’m hundreds down for nothing. Remove them from the Apple Store.

I suspect you have the subscription directly with the developer on their website, so it is not managed by Apple and that is why the subscription is not showing. This website is a scam and you were likely referred there from a Social Media post or website advertisement for a palm reading that claimed it was free, but in the fine print it says it was just a free trial and becomes a subscription.


It makes no difference if you downloaded the app from the App Store or not, you would still have the subscription. Since in that case, Apple is not managing that subscription, you may find it best to dispute the charge with the issuing bank of the card you are seeing the charges.


You can still use this link to report the app as a scam when it asks you what you would like to do, but since the subscription was not started with an in-app purchase, you would not be able to cancel it or request a refund.
