Constant rebooting on iPhone 15 running iOS 18.2
Details:
iOS version 18.2
iPhone 15 Pro - model MTQV3LL/A
All third party apps up to date as of this posting.
My iPhone has rebooted 29 times today. Phone will power down, Apple logo will appear, phone will boot up and stay up for anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. I cannot tell what might trigger a reboot. I finally did a forced restart (volume up, volume down, hold power) to try stop the constant rebooting, and it seems to have worked thus far. I might actually be able to call family on Christmas on my phone. What a time to be alive.
This is the third time I've had this issue since updating to iOS 18.2 on 12 December 2024. Each time, the iPhone seems stuck in this loop until I do the forced restart method.
After about 15 or so reboots, I begin to get messages about completing a repair to the iPhone's back glass. I've never repaired the back glass. Everything on my phone is factory OEM. I've noticed my battery's overall health has dropped by 4% or so since this error first happened.
Is anyone else having this issue? Has anyone found a fix? I'm currently backing up to my MacBook in case this needs a factory reset and reinstallation, but at this point I'm not sure if it's an issue with hardware, iOS, third-party apps, or some combination of the above.
