Apple Devices app for Windows not displaying connected devices in sidebar but displayed in Windows Explorer

A day or so ago, I was trying to sync music to my iPod, but it would not show up in the sidebar. I tried different cables, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting, checking for updates, all of that stuff. The iPod shows up in Windows Explorer but not in the sidebar in the Apple Devices app. I even tried connecting my iPad. Same thing, not showing on the sidebar, but in Windows Explorer. All worked normally before.
