Possibly, as long as they didn't sign you out of Find My too.

Removing it would disable Activation Lock and make the device usable to a thief or a finder. As long as you set Lost Mode and/or erase the device, it will be not be recognized as a trusted device. - Alternatively, anybody can sign into https://www.icloud.com/find to locate their device using a browser. You don't need a two-factor code if you use any internet browser and log into www.icloud.com/find
