Strong chemical smell due to swollen battery.

So, I recently replaced my iPad Air (4th generation) screen at a local tech repair store. I later noticed that there was a strong smell that I didn't know where it was coming from until I noticed from the side of my iPad that the screen was getting lifted. I went back to the store where I repaired my screen and he said that it happened due to swollen battery. So my question is, should I play it safe and go to apple or go back to the store for them to repair the damages again?

If the local store was not an Authorized Apple Service Provider, it's possible that Apple will not work on your iPad. However, I recommend you contact them anyway. Meanwhile, unplug the iPad and turn it off. Do not leave it on any soft, flammable surfaces.
