I paid my balance before due date yet still got charged interest

You’re probably seeing what is know as residual interest or ghost interest. Residual interest occurs when your credit card balance revolves and you pay interest on your account. Interest is charged daily, and while you paid the balance before due date, Apple Card charged you interest from the first of the month until you paid in full. That partial month of interest is know as residual interest and it’s charge to you on the following statement.
