I got charged interest when Balance paid in full

I paid balance off in full beginning of month and was still charged intrest???

How interest is estimated?? I have my card payments set to cover the "monthly balance" every payment yet I am being charged interest on an amount I cannot determine where it is derived from. It does not match and balance(s) due but appears to be recurring. How do I determine a way to satisfy the "outstanding" balance and pay it so that the interest charge goes away? My monthly bill reflects the charges for my various Apple Products so those are satisfied every month, is this somehow related to ancillary charges? My bill also shows a zero balance after every monthly payment is credited. Confused I am. Thanks for any insight.
