Can’t sign in to AppleTV app on new LG Smart TV

Hello, I just bought a new LG Smart TV yesterday (55UQ80) but the AppleTV app won’t let me sign in. I signed in to my other apps fine (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.) I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it keeps saying, “Verification failed. There were errors signing you in. Wait a moment then try again.” I’m positive my Apple ID and password were entered correctly.
