Apple ID Recovery Process.

I'm having trouble signing in to an Apple ID account that's linked to my iPhone X

After a long time passed I forgot the password and I no longer have access to the phone number to receive SMS with the verification code... I still know the number being censored to fill it in but it was not enough.

I have full access to the Email address to receive verification codes but that still wasn't enough. I went ahead and was put on hold for 24 hours, after 24 hours passed I did not receive a reset code on the number I chose

But now I have to wait 27 days until I get instructions to reset my password.

This is true? Will I be able to reset my password after that time or will I be made to wait even longer indefinitely?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. You may be able to shorten the wait time for recovering your Apple ID account. Per the Apple Support article:

In some cases, you might be able to speed up the account recovery process or reset your password immediately by verifying a six-digit code sent to your primary email address. You might also be able to shorten the wait time by providing credit-card details to confirm your identity. If you’re given this option, an authorization request goes to the card issuer.

If you are unsuccessful, you will need to wait the allotted time frame to regain access to your Apple ID.
