MacBook Pro transfer
Transfer has been running about 20 hours with no definitive progress. MacBook Pro to new MacBook Pro. Do I let it keep working or stop it and try to start again? It’s about 200GB worth to transfer.

Is this a cable connection or the WiFI—
a Cable is always preferred moving large amount of data...
The most trouble free way to move to a new machine, is using the Setup Assistant on the initial boot of a brand new machine— you have one shot here. Set up your MacBook Pro - Apple Support
The second best way is use the Migration Assistant.

Ethernet cable
or a simple USB to USBC adapter USB-C to USB Adapter - Apple
if you have a Time Machine or Boot clone backup as an alternatives source...
if you think you are stuck you can always Quit or force quit a shut down if necessary
reboot and see where this leaves you.
Log out, sleep, wake, restart or shut down your Mac

If you're transferring over a slow network, it can take a long time.
It’s over Wi-Fi showing peer-to-peer.
I got cables hooked up now, but it’s still showing Wi-Fi peer to peer connection. Will it automatically figure it out or does it need to be stopped? I’m using the migration assistant.
