I followed the directions and currently transferring from my old to knew MacBook Air. It has been going for 10 hours Old screen says information is being transferred. New computer says transferring. Is something wrong?

My transfer from old to new MacBook Air has been going for 10 hours now. They both show activity is “transferring your information” on the screens. Need to transfer about 260gb. It is going 37MB/sec. neither screen shows a status or progress report. Is something wrong or should I continue to be patient?

Migration can take a long time. An entire day isn't unusual, so continue to be patient.

Make sure both Macs are in the best possible location for your wireless environment.

If you decide it will never finish, consider terminating the migration and connecting the Macs to each other with a cable. You may need an appropriate USB adapter.
