Text duplicates when using microphone

I have an iPhone 10 X and many times when dictating a text message, the text will duplicate or repeat after I have finished speaking. I spent a lot of time backspacing over the duplicate words before sending the message. This is very frustrating and I cannot find an answer. Please help.
