HomePod stopped controlling my Philip’s Hues Lighhts

It was working flawlessly for but all of a sudden Siri in HomePod isn’t able to connect. I can control the lights using the Home app but Siri on HomePod says I’m having some trouble with your account settings. Take a Look at the Home app on your iPhone. I don’t know what I’m supposed to be looking for. I can play music on the HomePod from my iPhone. HomePod also cant make phone calls . It says it cannot find my iPhone. So frustrating.

HomePod, 13

Do you have the Hue App? It’s much easier to resolve issues with that app.

Mine showed something needed to be fixed in Settings. It was a Homekit & Siri issue. I clicked on that and it said there was a mismatch do I want to update, so I updated it. You just click update and it’s done for you. Settings in the Hue App always tells you what needs to be fixed.

  • If not. Look in your home App in rooms, where your bulbs are and see if it says “no response”. They might be offline, try rebooting the wifi modem.
  • Update your iOS software

Did you recently change your password?

Ok go into settings on your phone- your name right at the top. Tap that. It might ask you to sign in. Do that. Or scroll all the way down to sign out . Then sign back in. Make sure it’s the same ID in your home app as previously instructed

The HomePod doing as you ask always depends on being on the same home wifi network and signed into the same Apple ID on the device you set HomePod up with. If you recently got a new phone, you need to reset homepod and set up homepod again using the new phone. Keychain and Bluetooth needs to be on as well. If you didn’t get a new phone perhaps it updated the software and you needed to sign back into iCloud.
