Hi,
I have an 2018 iPad Pro 11" that is currently still happily and perfectly running iOS 12.4.1. Is it finally safe to update it to iOS 13 and more specifically iOS 13.4.1?
From what I have read iOS 13 is a total bug fest. I am more concerned with reliability and security than new features. The various security patches is actually the only reason I am considering updating.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
In my strong opinion, every iOS version since iOS 11 has been a bugfest!
iPadOS 13 has been nothing but bug release after bug release!
I hold no hope for iPadOS 13.5, either.
I have waited out nearly 3 full iOS releases. I can wait out another 5 to 6 months, no problem!
I have waited out iOS/iPadOS to get better and they just keep getting worse.
I would just wait for iPadOS 14 in the Fall.
Apple promises, with their new, in-house, quality control procedures in place, that iOS/iPadOS 14 is going to be a much better, iOS stabilsation and fix release and NOT a really a “new features” release.

I totally agree with you. I will rather wait for iOS 14 / iPadOS 14 in the hope that things will be better.
