Encrypted local backup for iOS devices

I have recently upgraded my MacBook Pro to macOS Mojave 10.14.6 and no longer appear to have the option to back up my iPhone xs to my mac which I have done in the past. I attach a screenshot of the Backups section shown when I connect my phone to my mac. The Manually Back Up and Restore section has both options greyed out. Can anyone suggest what steps I need to complete in order to resolve this?

Thanks in advance for any pointers!

Update: After following a tip given on https://appletoolbox.com/itunes-backup-now-not-working-after-macos-upgrade-tips-to-consider/ to delete the iTunes plist in the Library, I am now able to backup iOS devices locally. Problem resolved. 😀
