Dear All
I am trying to backup my iPhone XR on my Macbook Air.
And everytime I try this and click "Backup now" in iPhone section of my Finder, am asked to provide a password to encrypted the backup.
I don't want to provide a password if am backing my iPhone on my Macbook, I remember It never used to ask before.
Any help ?

First, uncheck the Encrypt Local Backup (See the pic below)
If you want to save Health and Activity data from your device or Apple Watch, you need to encrypt your backup: Select the box called Encrypt [device] backup and create a memorable password. If you don't need to save your Health and Activity data, you can make a backup that isn't encrypted. Just click Back Up Now.

Unfortunately, if the password is being requested and whether you know it or not, or you never set it yourself, you can’t backup or use that backup without it. You can reset the backup password.

I would try launching Keychain and see if you can find the password from there. If you find it, you can use the password to turn off encrypted backups.
