iPhone 16 Pro screen shows blue tint from front angle – defective unit?
Hi everyone, I recently purchased an iPhone 16 Pro (512GB, Desert Titanium) in Brazil on April 8, 2025, from an official Vivo store operated by Commcenter. I noticed something very strange with the screen just a few hours after the purchase.
The display has a noticeable blue tint, even when viewed directly from the front. The tint becomes more obvious when the screen shows white or light backgrounds and when viewed at slight angles. I compared it side by side with my iPhone 13 (same settings, same lighting), and this issue does not happen on the older phone. Both phones use OLED displays, so I understand there can be some natural variation, but this seems far beyond normal.
I contacted Apple Support (case number: *****), and the advisor confirmed that similar reports had already been received. They were able to see the issue through remote screen sharing using another iPhone’s camera that I had access to. However, the only solution offered was to send the phone to an Apple Store (the nearest one is over an hour away from me) without any guarantee that the issue will be reproduced and fixed.
The store where I purchased the phone refused to help, saying it’s not their responsibility anymore. I feel stuck between the store and Apple, and I’m honestly shocked by the lack of support for a brand-new premium device from Apple!
Has anyone else experienced this blue tint issue with the iPhone 16 Pro or another one?
Any advice would be truly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
