What is the arrow next to file names in Files app?

what is the purpose of that arrow on the left of the file names in Files app in iOS 26.2?

The arrows are folder disclosure icons. Tap the › to view the directory contents. The › will rotate downward to indicate the contents (if any) are being shown. Downward with nothing shown inset below the folder name means the folder is empty. Tap the now-downward-facing arrow again to hide the folder contents, and the arrow will rotate again.
