Incorrect email address for AppleCare on MacBook Air

I bought a Macbook Air at Costco with Apple Care but made a mistake entering email address - and this was purchased for someone else and I need to know how to correct the email address with Apple. The one I entered is a typo and non-existent. Costco says to contact Apple but I cannot find a way to do that for this specific problem.

Choosing "Information about AppleCare or Limited Warranty" would likely get you through to see the resolutions, which would likely be a phone call.

Alternatively, you can phone the main Apple Support line, and an advisor should be able to route you to AppleCare Administration and Agreements. From this site, you can find the Apple Support number for your country or region:

thanks for your suggestions; the issue has been resolved

I got through finally (via phone) to a live human being. The problem was definitely on Costco's end, not Apple's.

Apple support was able to confirm that AppleCare was indeed activated, and did not have or need an email address to do this. They only needed the user's Apple account ID, which is associated with the correct email.

So a huge amount of aggravation and wrong/misleading information (on the part of Costco) led to this ticket being opened.

I'm happy this community exists to help people out when its needed!

thanks, but under Hardware Coverage, I'm only offered these options:

Choose a topic

Buy an AppleCare plan

Cancel or request a refund for an AppleCare plan

Request a repair or replacement

Update payment information for an AppleCare plan

Information about AppleCare or Limited Warranty

Request a refund for an AppleCare plan

Add AppleCare plan to an Apple Account

Change AppleCare plan coverage type

Add an accessory to existing AppleCare plan

Product has been lost or stolen

I tried "buy a plan" earlier and got stuck because after several attempts to get a phone call, I got sent some info asking which device did I want to get it for - and because this was bought as a gift for another person, none of my devices apply.

So I'm back to square one. I don't want to buy coverage. I just need to know how to talk to a human being to fix this, NOT A ROBOT.
