password reset on the iphone 15 pro is broken

password reset on iphone is broken! (password for the apple account not the pin number to unlock the phone). When I go into the settings on the iphone 15 pro and tell it to reset the password. It then asks for the phone pin number (which is good) then it asks for a new password and then you have to retype in the new password. so far so good. then it has a blue continue button. you tap that button and it says type in the phone pin number (the unlock code for the phone). then it says type in a new password. and then type in the new password again. then it says hit continue. then it asks for the pin number for the phone. then it says enter a new password.

are you seeing a problem yet? or should i retype it the 6 times that it made me do the same steps over and over again?

FIX YOUR ****!

I had to do this on 2 separate phone. This is dumb as ****! Why is it looping over and over on a simple procedure of resetting a password? This isn't the first time I've run into this issue.
