Charged for unwanted app subscription with no refund option

My card was charged for a premium subscription in an app I don't use and which I deleted. It says refunds are unavailable. What should I do in this situation? It's only $15, but the fact itself is unpleasant.

  • What is the app?
  • What is the exact description of the charge?

Any subscription managed by Apple is easily cancelled here.

You are still allowed to subscribe to a service with a company directly where Apple is not involved. Actually Apple tried to prevent this and was sued and lost in court where they had to pay substantial fines. Deleting an app does not automatically remove a subscription. Knowing the source of your charge is what determines how you will need to proceed.
