Apple Watch Series 8 voice notifications lost after update

First briefly press side button and ensure it is not in silent mode (bell is white on black, not pink)

Next thing to check is on the watch, briefly press crown, then tap on Settings. Scroll all the way to Workout and tap.

Make sure Voice feedback toggle in turned on, ie green.

Then back in Settings, tap Siri, then Siri responses, then scroll down to Voice Volume - Speaker and set it at halfway or higher.
