Apple Music “Play” button does not work on CarPlay on iOS26.2 RC

For context: I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max running iOS 26.2 RC since it came out and drive a 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Ultimate.

Today for some reason I wasn’t able to play music in my library in Apple Music. Every time I pressed ▶️ It would just pop up the ⏸️ button for a split second (as if the song started) and then go back to ▶️ again.

If I went into my phone and scrubbed a bit the song would eventually work, but only for that song. It would just skip through the rest of the album and reach the end, after which it starts playing the music from ♾️ no problem.

This issue is only affecting music in my library that I manually select. If I play any radio station it works fine but it just refuses to let me select my own songs.

I’ve hard rebooted the phone, deleted the device from CarPlay, used wired/wireless and reset Bluetooth to no luck.

Any ideas on what I could do to fix this?
