I just got a brand new macbook air and i had to create all the Apple Account and apple id passwords. I'm brand new to Apple use. The one i need to log into my new laptop i apparently cannot recall. How do ib reset it? I haven't even used it yet. Help!

• "Restart your Mac and try again"
• "Use the reset options in Recovery"
Finally, if none of the reset steps work -

If no other solution works, you can regain access to your Mac by erasing it. This permanently removes each user account, its password, and its data from your Mac.

I did. It's not accepting it and it did not let me SEE it before i confirmed, so no idea if I made an error in the set up or not
Yup. Thank you so much. When I tried this I get no option to bypass and go to the recovery assistant. It wants the password. Ugh.
If you cannot make this password change AND cannot boot to the Recovery Assistant, then by all means set up an appointment with the folks at the Apple Store Genius Bar. I'm sure they can assist. Be sure to take a copy of your purchase invoice and receipt.
