OWC ThunderBay RAID array Keeps Going to Sleep / Won't Stay Spun-up

I have an M4 Max MBP running Tahoe and an OWC ThunderBay with a RAID array (level 5, ~150TB). For some unknown reason, the array goes to sleep automatically, even though I have selected "never" for 'put hard drives to sleep' under system energy options.

It's a major drag on the system to have to wait for these drives spin up every time I access a file on that disk array, literally causing the entire computer to halt for about 30 second to a minute each time.

A previous thread asked this nearly identical question in 2023 and was inexplicably closed out without resolution. Any thoughts?
