From what I can determine from your sample, the hanging indent is working as it should. Without showing the ruler at the top of the page or the invisible characters, I can't be certain

You don't need to resort to text boxes. Rather than putting the text in the body of a word processing document, try a table. The content under "Creative" & "Skills" can be on separate lines within a table cell by using Option + Return to create a new line in a cell.

1. Highlight the paragraph you want to format.

2. Open the Format panel (right-side toolbar)

If it’s not visible:

View → Show Inspector OR click the paintbrush icon.

3. Go to:

Format → Layout → Indents

You’ll see these controls:

  • Left
  • First
  • Right

4. Set the indent like this:

  • Left indent: Increase this (e.g., 1 cm0.5 in, etc.)
  • First line indent: Set this to a negative value of the same amount
