Lost all songs after traveling internationally

Traveled to Japan for a vacation and noticed that all of my apple music songs (ones that I didn’t pay for, but have downloaded) were missing. If I go to my profile I can see all of my playlists (empty) and recently played albums. I have lost ALL songs since 2017, which is when I got Apple Music. How can I recover my songs? Now that I’m back in the US, I’ve tried logging out of my “media and purchases” + restarting my phone, but my songs are still not showing up. What should I do next? This feels ridiculous considering all of my spotify friends didn’t have a single issue accessing their songs.

Fix by:

  1. Turn Sync Library off/on
  2. Sign out/in of Media & Purchases
  3. Verify your region is still United States
  4. Sign out of Apple Music inside the app
  5. Reset network
  6. Check music.apple.com
  7. Ask Apple to rebuild your cloud library if needed

Your songs should return once your U.S. region token is restored.

Am no expert in this area, ye your post to the community deserves some rsponse.

Wondering if you also have Apple Music on a computer or other device, or synced to iCloud.:

If so: There may be something useful in one of the articles below,

You may have an iOS back-up saved: (It would need to be one that included a back-up of your Music)

See how to: Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

________

If needed: Apple have a Music Support website online: (info. / support / contact options etc.)

(There's a "get Support" link (online chat / phone / emaile tc.) at the bottom of the webpage (link below:)
