iCloud+ upgrade freezes when selecting 'See Other Plans

When I try to upgrade my iCloud+ from 200G by following the instructions the phone offers two alternatives. "Bundle and Spend Less" with AppleOne (unfortunately the option they offer only has 50G of storage), the second alternative is "See Other Plans", when I select that option I get the pinwheel of death and the only way out is to close the Settings app and start over. I've tried this many times and it never advances to the screen where I could select another storage plan. My phone is an iPhone 17 running iOS 26.1 and it has 512GB of internal storage with only 74GB used.

After I sent you the message below I figured out the issue. When you mentioned family sharing that made me start thinking. Before I retired I set up a separate iCloud ID for my work devices because they paid for the 200G storage. I didn't realize right away that was the issue. Fortunately my employer allowed me to keep the iPad that contained the iCloud ID and password for the account that controls the storage. I logged into that device and upgraded the family iCloud+ storage to 2TB. Problem solved. Thank you!

On thinking about it further, my suspicion is focused on Family Sharing your iCloud storage. Please provide details if this is a factor.

First of all, I assume you are not a current Apple One subscriber. I also assume you’re in the U.S. and there has been no change of country in your Apple Account history.

If the assumptions are correct, then even the Apple One response is incorrect, as Apple One Premier offers 2TB of iCloud storage.

So I suspect there’s some pertinent fact about your Apple Account we don’t know.

I wasn't clear when I made the statement about AppleOne storage. I realize AppleOne offers larger storage plans but the only offer I'm presented with on my phone is 50G. I currently have 200G with Apple+ and I'm not currently an AppleOne subscriber. I don't want to select what's offered on the phone as the first choice because it's 50GB. When I select see other plans the phone gives me a white screen with the pinwheel of death and the only way to exit is to close out of the Settings app and start over. I'm concerned if I select the plan that's offered I will lose iCloud storage in excess of 50GB. I'm not really interested in AppleOne, I'd just like to increase my storage. The $19.95 offer isn't useful for me because it reduces my storage and provides services I'm not interested in like Arcade.

Yes I am in the USA and no I haven't moved from another country at any time. I have Apple TV as well so I'm not sure if that's a factor.
