Spotlight Command + L dictionary lookup issue

Before when I look up a word in spotlight and hit "command + L", it previews the explanation of this word.

MacOS Tahoe seems not supporting this feature anymore by default.

Is there a way that I can set it back? I use it sooooo often, really cannot live without it.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 26.1

No, sorry.

This is probably the #1 feature that people dislike about Tahoe. Apple got rid of the old LaunchPad and replaced it with a new Spotlight control that doesn't work as well as the old LaunchPad.

But the new Spotlight control also doesn't even work as well as the old Spotlight control.

Hopefully Apple will change it back one day. But until then, you're going to have to find another way to live. I recommend using the context menu and choose "lookup". That's probably the easiest. You might be able to construct a Shortcut or Automator service and bind that to a keystroke, but it will take some work.

That is a bold assumption. People that used Launchpad have been vocal about it, those of us who never used it just continue to use our macs :-)
