Searching synced photo albums

Can’t search synced photo albums in iOS 26 (updated)

So since posting that original question a few months ago, I thought it might be useful to follow up on…

That issue has since been fixed in iOS 26.1. So to those that said “synced photos were not first class citizens and to use iCloud… you were clearly wrong!

I hope this also helps others with the same issue.

Thanks for letting us know. Do you mean, that the search has been fixed to find synced photos again, like in the previous system version? That will be good news for those who are preferring the manual syncing.

I don't transfer pictures with a cable, so I have to ask: Are you saying that now pictures transferred by cable, going to From My Mac, can now be edited and deleted?
