Mac Pro 2,1 not appearing in Finder on MacBook Air M1

Hello everyone

I am having trouble getting my Mac Pro 2,1 to show in Finder on my MacBook Air M1.

However, the MP2,1 is visible in Finder on my third Mac, a Mac Pro 3,1, and I can both connect and screen share to it.

All three Macs are logged in with the same Apple ID and have File Sharing and Screen Sharing activated.

If I try to connect to the MP2,1 from the M1 via Connect to Server (typing in its Name.local) I get the error "URLs with the type “:” are not supported". Oddly, the M1 shows up under Network on the MP2,1 but I'm not able to connect to it (there's no specific error, but just that there was a problem connecting).

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

Thank you in advance

Philip

I have now tried trashing the Finder plist but still nojoy. The MP2,1 is connected via wifi on a stable connection. The network is served by an AirPort Extreme Base Station.

The MP2,1 is running El Cap (unsupported of course) and the MP3,1 runs Monterey (also unsupported of course). The odd thing is that the MP2,1 used to appear in Finder on the Air.
