Apple Gift Card codes are incomplete

Follow the steps here under the section where it says the Gift Card is Unreadable. It will require the proof of purchase receipt, so if that is not possible, you may need to contact the person that sent you the Gift Card.

Do not post a picture of the card on a public website such as this. If it were possible for you to redeem the code without providing a purchase receipt, then that means anyone else could have already done that. Without the purchase receipt, your only option is to contact the sender because as of now, there is no value to the card.

Those cards are readily available from a retailer on a rack available for anyone to pick up the card. It is only when they go through the check stand where it is activated and you get the receipt that the card has any value. If the code has been scratched off you will need to provide that receipt.
